Sometimes life asks more of us than we expected
PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT IN BRISBANE AND VIA TELEHEALTH ACROSS AUSTRALIA
If you've found yourself working harder just to keep everything going, feeling less patient, less connected, or simply not quite like yourself - you're not alone. Together, we'll take the time to understand what's happening, explore what matters most to you, and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Drawing on more than 20 years' experience working alongside first responders and supporting people in demanding roles, I offer thoughtful, evidence-based psychological care in a warm, respectful and confidential environment.
You’re here because
Life looks “good” from the outside, but something doesn’t feel right on the inside.
Life can look very different from the inside than it does from the outside. Many of the people I work with are capable, resilient individuals who are used to managing responsibility and supporting others. Over time, the demands of work, life and change can begin to affect wellbeing, relationships and your sense of self. Therapy provides a confidential space to make sense of your experiences, reconnect with what matters, and consider what comes next.
Those things that used to help you feel better? They’re not working like they used to.
Maybe you have noticed:
You’re still getting things done, but it feels harder than it used to.
The strategies that once helped you cope no longer seem to be enough.
You’re carrying responsibilities, expectations or experiences that are difficult to put down.
You’re functioning on the outside, but feeling exhausted, disconnected or unlike yourself.
You are experiencing changes in your relationships, work or identity that you’re trying to navigate.
You’re feeling like something needs to shift, even if you’re not sure what that looks like yet.
Hey. I’m Frances.
I believe therapy should be honest, practical and grounded in understanding.
With more than 20 years' experience working alongside first responders, emergency services and people in demanding roles, I understand that life is rarely simple. My approach is compassionate and evidence-based, while recognising the strengths, experiences and responsibilities that shape who you are.
The process
01
Get in touch - the first step is simply reaching out.
You can book an appointment directly online or contact the practice if you are unsure whether therapy is the right next step. I welcome the opportunity to answer any questions and help you decide what support may be most appropriate.
02
Understand the process and fees
We provide clear, upfront information about appointments, fees, Medicare rebates and payment options so you can make an informed decision about accessing support.
03
Referrals and collaboration
I welcome referrals from GPs, psychiatrists, workplace providers and other health professionals. With your consent I can work collaboratively with your broader support team to ensure care is coordinated and aligned with your goals.

If you're still showing up, meeting your responsibilities and keeping everything going - but it all feels harder than it used to - you don't have to keep pushing through on your own. Therapy provides a space to pause, understand what's changed, and find practical ways to move forward with greater clarity, confidence and wellbeing
-
Sometimes it's not one big event - it can be the gradual build-up of stress, responsibility and life's demands that leaves you feeling anxious, flat or emotionally drained. If you've noticed you're not quite yourself, therapy can help you make sense of what's happening, regain perspective, and move forward with greater confidence.
-
You don't have to experience one life-changing event to feel the effects of trauma. Sometimes it's the accumulation of difficult days, high-pressure situations, or carrying responsibility over many years that begins to take its toll. If you've noticed you're more on edge, more irritable, emotionally exhausted, or simply not quite yourself, therapy can help you understand what's happening, process your experiences, and find a way forward.
